Policies and Agreements

Over the next few pages, you’ll be reading more about studio policies. If you have any questions please reach out to Ethan or Art right away.

Teams

Lessons are held on the Teams video platform. Students are expected to have a main device that they depend on, and a separate device for backup. Students and their families are responsible for maintaining their internet connection. In the case of internet difficulties, a teacher may switch the lesson to a phone call lesson.

Most often the teacher will initiate the call, but students should be ready to start a call within a few minutes of the start of the lesson. This ensures everyone is working to get the call started.

Teachers may reach out to parents if there are ongoing internet problems, and Art can help troubleshoot some basic issues.

We use the chat feature in Teams to upload music, track assignments, and send videos back and forth. If asked to upload something to a teacher, please use the Teams app so everything is in one spot.

Teams lessons are great, but if there are too many noises in the background (other kids playing, blenders going, vacuuming in the same room), it will be hard for students and teacher to hear each other and keep the lesson going.
